new AKC Champion

We are happy to announce a new AKC Champion as of April 24, 2010, CH Mizen Gael Tegan JH.
Tegan is the daughter of Dalriach Lord Decider, "Cuddy," and Mizen Just Juno. Margaret Sierakowski's
Cuddy's fine contribution lives on through his daughter Tegan.
We couldn't be more pleased with the Mizen IRWS that Ann Miller has entrusted to us.
Our first, Mizen Jade, is the dam of the 1st AKC Champion, CH O'Dobhailien Cailin Alainn JH and
our second Mizen import is Tegan.
We selected and arranged for CH Mizen Duchas Dilis JH to come to the US. He is the youngest AKC
IRWS Champion to date. Ann's exports excel in the field as well. Ann's IRWS retain solid and intense hunting skills.
Ann's IRWS from the country of origin are making a considerable contribution to the breeds' future across the pond.
Go raibh míle maith agat do na madrai hiontach agus don cairdeas specialta.
With our heartfelt appreciation,

Bob and Evan Devlin

American Update March 2010

We are so pleased to finally tie into your hunting lines. Lohmann's Bella arrived on the shores of America, March 11, 2010. Bella was bred by Andreas and Christiane Lohmann in Germany. Bella is co-owned by Bob and Evan Devlin, Zach, Chris, and Tami Orcutt. We all have high hopes for Bella. If Bella hunts anything like her mother, Deargban O'Faolain (see hunting report under News from Germany) Bella will have a lot to offer to the breed. Christiane was able to view Bella's sire, History's of Highland's Balou, hunting prior to the breeding and was impressed with him as well.

News from Judy Baumgartner

This is Sean, Mizen Duchas Dilis bred by Ann Miller. He came to the United States in November of 2008. He is just 7 months old and will be competing for his hunting titles this Spring. He is also one third of the way to his show championship, only being shown three times. Sean got a Best of Breed from the 6 - 9 puppy class. A very rare accomplishment in any breed. His sire is Sheebhin Fionn and dam is Mizen Gael Gra Geal. He is pure Irish and will make Ireland proud...

Gracie is O'Dobhailien Grasta Iontach. Her sire is Lougherne Birch JH and dam is O'Dobhailien Logan Asthore. She is 10 months old and will be competeing for her hunting titles this Spring.   Also Gracie has 7 or her 15 points towards her show championship.  We are entered in hunting tests the next two weekends....keep your fingers crossed   that we do well....(I know we will, these dogs are fantastic).

This is Cailin, she is the AKC champion on your website...Ch. O'Dobhailien Cailin Alainn....she is in training for more hunting titles. I take the dogs out to the field each week to work on planted birds. They each get a turn running with three birds planted each time. We don't have many native birds around any longer, and with training the planted birds work so well.

American Update October 2008

Mizen Gael Tegan completed her Junior Hunter title this weekend. She pointed 4 quail and retrieved 3 to hand. When flushed, her first bird landed on the boot of a Judge who was on horseback at the time.

Tegan who can outrun most quail ended her pursuit under the horse. Fortunately no one was injured and Tegan went on to point three more birds during her allotted time. Those three birds were delivered to hand.

Tegan is from Mizen Just Juno and Dalriach Lord Decider

Hello Terry- thought you might like to see my girls. Took her to New Hampshire - Ran Rosie in a Hunt Test and puppy went along. She was very interested in the bird field and we showed her a bird which she later found in the brush. Kathy
