My
name is Judyta, I'm from Poland. I have together with my parents IRWS kennel
"Shadow Dog".
I saw on The official website of the Irish breed club a section "Latest news
from round the world". Maybe my email will be interesting for you.
We own five Irish Red and White Setters, two boys and three girls.
One boy is Tytus Bohemia Thalset from Czech Republic (he comes from United Spots
Justbe and Hany Bohemia Thalset). The girls are: Jarda Rysi Wykrot (comes from
Hard z Lukovskych Lanu and Exclusive's Velvet) - she is a granddaughter of
Pallas Green Athena and Rushfield Smudge. She have very good working red&white
and red setters in pedigree. Next girl is Aaliyah Aristokrat from Austria (comes
from Cevin vom Duvenseer Moor and Hammonia's Enyah). Last girl is Dreams Come
True Shadow Dog - she was born in our kennel, her mother is Jarda Rysi Wykrot
and father Greenmore's Special Fantasy Dream. Our last family member is great
boy from Scotland - Dalriach Rolling Stone (Tullamore Trubador and Dalriach
Geraldine). At this time he is four months.
When we first got interested in Irish Red and White Setter, we didn't find any
information about the breed. It was really unknown breed in Poland. The first
imported IRWS bitch was Exclusive's Velvet who came to the Poland from Belgium
in 1997. She produced some puppies, and in 2004 her last litter was born. From
this litter we chose Jarda Rysi Wykrot. Her breeder retired from red&white
setters and stopped breeding this lovely breed. In this way there was no
IRWS kennel in Poland. Jarda is Polish Champion, Club Winner 2006, and she have
hunting test. She is an active hunting bitch with great passion for working in
the field. She was first examined IRWS in Poland: HD: A, CLAD: free.
So the next step we imported a dog in 2005- Tytus Bohemia Thalset, with new
fresh bloodlines for the red&white population, from hunting parents. Today he is
the most successful representative of his breed in Poland (Polish Champion,
Polish Junior Champion, Junior Club Winner 2006, Middle and Eastern European
Winner 2007, Polish Winner 2007, Club Winner of Czech Republic, HD: A, CLAD:
free. Hunting test - 1st degree diploma, 3/37 place, pkt 95/100.)
The year 2007 was very important because in May our first Red&White litter were
born. It was exactly three years after the last IRWS litter was born in
Poland. The father was Tytus Bohemia Thalset and mother Jarda Rysi Wykrot.
In Poland there was so small population of IRWS and complete lack of foreign
blood, so we decided to import in 2007 girl from Austria, from a hunting bitch,
that was Aaliyah Aristokrat. She is a Polish Champion, Polish Junior Champion,
Junior Club Winner 2008, Club Winner 2009, Qualified for Cruft's 2011, and she
have hunting test, HD: B, CLAD: free.
In May of 2008 a second litter was born in our kennel. Sire was again
Tytus Bohemia Thalset and Dam Jarda Rysi Wykrot.
In January of 2010 we had litter from Jarda Rysi Wykrot and Greenmore's Special
Fantasy Dream, and we kept in our kennel one girl: Dreams Come True Shadow Dog.
She was training on partridge as a 3 months puppy and she was really good. We
want to start with her in field trial but at first we have to do hunting test.
In next year we want to start hunting with her because she is as great in field
as her dam.
Our new family member is Dalriach Rolling Stone "Mick", who was born in June
2010 in Margaret Sierakowski's kennel. He is the first import from UK to Poland.
We have big plans for him, but for now we are working on it and we will see what
happens.
We just fell in love with this breed. They are so powerful, energetic dogs with
a passion for hunting. We want to show to other people in Poland that this breed
is very intelligent and beautiful. Our dogs helped us to meet a lot of people
from outside Poland. We keep in touch with breeders of our dogs and we are
grateful to them. Now more people know about this breed in our country, but IRWS
are still very rare in Poland. I hope that soon this will change...
best regards,
Judyta Gnyp
