25th Anniversary of the IRWS Club founded 1981

MAYNOOTH UNIVERSITY, COUNTY KILDARE, IRELAND
From 9 to 12 September 2006 over 70 Irish Red and Red and White Setter owners and breeders from twelve countries met in Maynooth, Ireland to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Irish breed club at the International Conference, the Irish Breeds Show and two days of Field trials on grouse in the Wicklow Mountains
Guest Speaker at the conference and IRWS judge at the Irish Breeds Show was Dermot Mooney, (pictured left) who was one of the leading breeders at the time of the revival.

The conference weekend was held from 9 - 12 September 2006. The venue was Maynooth University, County Kildare.
The Irish Breeds Championship Show was held the same weekend at the IKC's Show Centre at Cloghran, where the IRWS judge was Dermot Mooney
Two days of field trials were held in the Wicklow Mountains national park area.
